CHAPTER 15

Kissing Trinity was a divine experience. The little shocks Orion felt when her fingers grazed over his skin were nothing compared to the full on burst of energy that coursed through his entire being.

It was almost as if he could feel her energy, her grace reaching out. Like his wings, the tendrils of magic wrapped around him, burrowing beneath his skin until it had infected his bloodstream.

A wonderful, blissful sort of shock to the heart.

He wanted to feel her, every inch of her, from her grace to her skin, to the beating of her mortal heart.

Orion deepened their kiss, feeling the fire within him heating up once more. As an angel, his desire to provide such heavenly bliss warred with his inner demon’s desire to bury himself inside of her until his knot swelled past the point of no return, locking them together until their pleasure soared so high there’d be nowhere to go but back down to earth.

Such thoughts were dangerous, because they derailed everything else in his brain, but he didn’t care. And, as it would appear, neither did Trinity. All it took was one moment, one kiss to turn the tables.

Trinity pushed forward against him, her hands sliding underneath his shirt. Her fingers tugged on the hem, Orion didn’t wait to remove it. The cold air in the office tickled his skin, but it was a welcome feeling.

Trinity placed her palm on his warm chest, her fingertips lazily tracing the outlines of his pectoral muscles, fingers pinching at his nipples with a bold curiosity.

“Fuck,” he hissed as the sensation of the edges of her nails against his sensitive nerves sent a shockwave directly to his cock. A low groan escaped his throat as he shifted his spot on the cushions, his wings pulling Trinity closer of their own accord.

“More,” she signed into his chest before bringing her lips down to his nipple, licking at the flesh with her soft, warm tongue.

“No,” he signed into her palm. “I need you. I need...” The words themselves weren’t difficult for him to say, as he’d said them plenty of times to lovers, but yet something about saying them to this woman, his mate, left him feeling like a teenager on the cusp of first love, his first time having sex all over again. It was fresh, new, perhaps even a little scary, given the fact Trinity was nothing short of a surprise in more ways than one.

“I need to taste you,” he said, feeling the stirrings of his inner demon.

Trinity’s eyes were ablaze with desire, and she nodded her head furiously.

Orion grabbed her hand, feeling the signs against his palm.

“Do it,” she said, her cheeks flushed as she took her lip between her teeth. In her eyes, he could see she was as hungry as he was, but also that she was as nervous as he was, and something about that settled everything else in him like an answered prayer.

A part of him knew that Hades could be back
